Threetip Wongsala has led a great showing for North Adelaide players in the Veteran Golfers Association Riverland Tour, completed on Friday 4 September.

Fifty-one players from metro clubs and others as far away as Port Lincoln all took on Barmera (twice), Berri and Loxton in a four-round Stableford tournament across the week.

Threetip finished a clear winner in the women’s competition… five points clear of the field, with North Adelaide clubmates filling three of the next four places.

In the men’s draw, an excellent result for Piete de Wit finishing second… after a week of superb golf in his first year with the Metro Vets competition.
