LADIES COMPETITIONS

The ladies enjoys two official playing days, Thursday and Saturday.   Members must nominate online through the Golf Club's website or on the stations located in the Clubhouse building.

Thursday Players – nominations open 3pm Wednesdays for the Thursday 8 days later and close at 3pm on the day prior to play.

Saturday Players – nominations open 3pm Fridays for the Saturday 8 days later and close at 3pm on the day prior to play.

If a member, for any reason, is unable to go on line and make a tee time booking they may ring the Ladies Captain up to 3pm the day prior to play.    If a player needs to make a booking or cancellation after 3pm the day before they are required to ring the Pro Shop.

 If a member requires a preferential tee time, on a once off basis, they may make such a request in writing to the Secretary Manager.

Permanent preferential tee times will only be granted in exceptional circumstances after receiving such a request in writing to the Ladies Captain and at the discretion of the Match Committee.

Ties

In the event of a tie between two or more players in a competition played under 'stroke' rules, the winner shall be decided by a method of 'count-back'. Match-play ties finishing 'all-square' shall be played to a decision.

Tee Times

Seasonal changes dictate daylight hours therefore starting times vary according to the rising of the sun. Please check the Club Website for starting times for all competitions.

Club Championships A, B, C Grades

Members who wish to participate in the Club Championships must have played in six (6) official club competitions in the preceding six (6) months to the Championships commencing.  The Match Committee has the right to review and waiver this conditions.

Nominations for the Club Championships close seven (7) days before the start of the qualifying round.

Players will be allocated to their appropriate grade based on their handicap on the day of the first qualifying round.

Championship Competitors will also be required to pay the normal daily competition fee on the days of the Qualifying Rounds.  Championship Finalists will be exempt from any competition fee for finals in which they play.

Two (2) qualifying rounds of 18 hole stroke play, to be played on two successive Thursdays or Saturdays.  The leading four players from combined Thursday and Saturday scores in each Grade to be ranked, with

1 vs 4
2 vs 3

to play 18 hole match play semi-finals within a week and winners going ton to a match play final.

The A Grade final is played over 36 holes, B Grade 27 holes and C Grade/s 18 holes.  If the A Grade finals are to be played on a Saturday, they will commence at approximately 6.45am during the morning men’s tee block session and the concluding 18 holes of this final will commence after a 20 minute MANDATORY break to arrange tee times in the afternoon tee block session.   Refreshments/lunch will be provided for competitors and caddies during this time.   If played on a Thursday, they will commence at the beginning of the ladies tee block session.

B Grade final, if played on a Saturday, will commence at approximately 8.3am after the morning men’s tee block session.   If played on a Thursday they will commence at the beginning of the ladies tee block session.

C Grade Final, if played on a Saturday, will commence at approximately 9.44am at the beginning of the ladies tee block session.  If played on a Thursday they will commence at the beginning of the ladies tee block session.

In the event of a qualifying day’s play being cancelled because of course closure, it will be replayed the following week, or at the discretion of the Match Committee.  Full conditions listed in conditions of play folder.

Caddies are permitted in all Finals.

Club Handicap Championships

To be played in conjunction with Club Championships, and using the two qualifying rounds, the best nett score in each grade is the winner.  Countbacks will be used if needed to decide winner/s.

Foursomes Championship

Two qualifying rounds of 18 hole stroke play.  The two leading pairs to play a match-play final of 18 holes.

President’s Trophy

Two qualifying stroke rounds.  Best two scores from both Thursday and Saturday to play handicap match play semi-finals (1 vs 4) and (2 vs 3), and a handicap match play final.  Semi-finals to be completed by end of June and final by the end of August.

Captain’s Trophy

Two qualifying stroke rounds.  Best two scores from both Thursday and Saturday to play handicap match play semi-finals (1 vs 4) and (2 vs 3), and a handicap match play final.  Semi-finals to be completed within 4 weeks of 2nd qualifying round and the final to be completed 4 weeks later.

Monthly Medal Competition

Stroke rounds with the winners of each round playing off in a final stroke round in conjunction with the competition of the day. Open to all Club Members with a Thursday Competition and Saturday Competition winner of the day. In the event of a tie - both players to be rewarded.

Putting Competition

Six (6) stroke rounds with the winner of each round playing off in a final stroke round in conjunction with the competition of the day. Open to all Club Members with a Thursday Competition and Saturday Competition winner of the day. In the event of a tie - both players to be rewarded.

International Bowl

Silver & Bronze Divisions. GolfSA event. Three stroke rounds. The winners being the best nett round in each division.   Entry Fee of $3.00 per team - collected at the beginning of Winter Season.

Shylie Rymill Foursomes

GolfSA Event. Open to all Club Members with Thursday Competition Winners & Saturday Competition Winners. Entry Fee of $3.00 per team - collected at the beginning of Winter Season.

Laurel Wreath

GolfSA Event. Members to register for this event at the beginning of Winter season . The draw for this event is posted on the notice board. Handicap Match play and played until an outcome.
