2018 B1 Bonnar Cup Results

Final Round - On Sunday July 8th our men's pennant team played it's final match for the season. Up against The Vines on their home course we were defeated 4 1/2 matches to 2 1/2 matches. We finished the season in 7th place ( avoiding relegation ) winning 1 contest and halving 2 others. The team won more individual matches for the year than the two teams above us. The players had 7 individual halved matches for the season and with a little luck in those games we could have finished much higher up the ladder.
Alex Martinson was our outstanding player of the series. Playing number 1 Alex won 6 of his 7 matches.

Round 6 On Sunday 1st July the men's pennant team played Blackwood at The Grange Golf Club unfortunately going down 4 matches to 3.

Our final game this week is against The Vines on their home course 11.15am start.  

Round 5 This week the men's pennant team played The Grange at Flagstaff Hill. The Grange are undefeated for the year and that trend continued against us with them winning 4.5 matches to 2.5 matches.

Next weeks game is at The Grange against Blackwood starting at 12.10pm. 

Round 4 Sunday 17th June our men's Bonnar Cup pennant team played Kooyonga at Tea Tree Gully. On a bitterly cold and wet day the final result was 3 & 1/2 matches each, our best result against Kooyonga for a number of years.
We currently sit equal 4th on the premiership table.

Round 3 Sunday 3rd June our men's Bonnar Cup pennant team played our home match against Tea Tree Gully. We had a great day winning 5 matches to 2.
Quite a few of our members came out to watch and inspire our team.

We now have a break over the long weekend and recommence the following weekend at Tea Tree Gully. 

Round 2 of the men's Bonnar Cup pennant team play was on Sunday 27th May at Glenelg Golf Club against Flagstaff Hill.
The entire day was a closely fought out affair with the final result ending in a draw 3 1/2 matches all.

Our next match is at North Adelaide this coming Sunday against Tea Tree Gully, 10.30am tee off.

Round 1 Sunday 20th May our men's Golf SA Pennant season began.

After winning division B2 last year we have been promoted and are playing in division B1 / Bonnar Cup.

Our first match was at Kooyonga against the reigning champions, Glenelg. They are a formidable opponent and again appear to be the measuring stick for the season.
Our team battled hard but were defeated 5 1/2 matches to 1 1/2 matches.

The highlight of the day was Simon Welsh's hole in one on the 7th hole with a seven iron. The Kooyonga Golf Club were very gracious in presenting Simon with a certificate recognising his feat.
