MIXED EVENTS

NAGC mixed events are organised by the Mixed Event Sub-Committee and are held in most months of the year, always on a Sunday unless otherwise noted.   The mixed event competitions may played on the South Course or the North Course and are open to all members, family and friends.  The schedule of mixed events is listed in the NAGC Members' Handbook, a copy of which is posted in this Website.

Nominations for all mixed events will be closed on the Saturday prior to the event, with late entries accommodated where possible at the discretion of the Club Captain.

An allowance for lunch or dinner will be included in the fee.

Many mixed events will have novelty components to encourage enjoyment and cammeraderie amongst players of all standards.  The competitions will be varied including Pinehurst, Foursomes, Stableford and more.

Major mixed event competitions include:-

Mixed Foursomes Club Championship

The NAGC Mixed Foursomes Club Championship is open to NAGC members and comprises 18 holes of Stroke Play.  Each foursomes team will have one male and one female player.    The Men will play the first shot in any odd numbered year and the Women will play the first shot in any even numbered year.   The foursomes team with the lowest Stroke score will be awarded the L.W. Williams Memorial Trophy.

In the event of a tie, a three (3) hole play-off will  commence on the first tee. If there is still a tie, the match will continue hole-by-hole until the winner is decided.   Note: players are required to be aware of their team's potential to be involved in a tied result. Any tied team player who has left the course will be given 15 minutes to return for the play-off.   Failure to do so will result in the player's team being disqualified from the play-off.

Mixed Summer Cup

The Mixed Summer Cup is an Aggregate Stableford mixed-pairs competition and each competitor plays Individual Stableford.   The score of each mixed-pair is the sum of the individual Stableford points of the partners. If there is a tie for the Trophy, the countback system will be used on the aggregate scores of the partners.
