2023 Men's Foursomes
The 2023 NAGC Men's Foursomes championship is in new hands after a dramatic sudden-death playoff capped off a third weekend of competition between the top two teams.
Paul Haines and Atila Koca are the new champions, ending the reign of Barry Smith and Alex Martinson in a dramatic finale at the first playoff hole of a sudden death decider.
Having finished tied at the end of 36 holes played over two consecutive weekends, the pairs went into an 18-hole playoff on Saturday 2 September, but again finished locked after 54 holes having each shot 80 off the stick .
Paul & Atila triumphed with par at the first palyoff hole after Alex and Barry overshot the approach and fell short by a single stroke attempting to square the hole.
Congratulations to both the winning pair and their opponents, all going neck-and-neck across three weekends, before a sudden death decider. Competitive golf doesn't get much better.
